Job Description:

This is a challenging role, rewarding both professionally and financially.

 

You will able to explain complicated legislation/rulings, and its implications, in simple terms to the senior members of the company.  It is essential that you are a solid team player who thrives on working within a fast paced dynamic company. Your typical working day will be predominately office based.  You will be either ATT or CTA trained/qualified.

 

Typical responsibilities:

  • Researching, analysing and interpreting of changing tax legislation in relation to our services;
  • HMRC enquiry work / Tax Tribunals;
  • Creation of new Occupational Pension Schemes / pension transfer-in’s;
  • Establishing and structuring family trusts, both on-shore and off-shore;
  • Dealing with Trademarks, Licences and Royalty payments;
  • Ability to establish new companies, both LLPs and Ltd’s, via Companies House;
  • Issuing of preference shares for a Ltd company;
  • Conversion of LLP into LTD, or vice versa, via corporate re-structuring;
  • Examine and evaluate new tax structures presented to company via Barristers / QC’s;
  • Instructing Counsel on differing topics;
  • Execute any litigation work company may need to address;
  • Verification that company complies to FSA regulations

Skills required:

  • Understanding the requirements of DOTAS;
  • Workings of UK tax law and HMRC provisions;
  • Sound knowledge of the UK pension system, preferably both Approved and Unapproved;
  • Understanding of Estate planning / tax residence / domicile matters;
  • The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
