Job Details for: Independent Financial Adviser (Kent)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully or part diploma qualified Independent Financial Adviser to be part of a very ambitious dedicated Wealth Management team. As a current successful Financial Adviser this could undoubtedly be a role for you based on your professional qualifications and experience within the finance world. The role will see you providing high-quality professional independent advice to clients.
As a Wealth Adviser you will adopt a holistic approach, managing long-term relationships, delivering suitable fee-based financial planning and wealth solutions to meet the clients’ short and long-term objectives. You will offer professional and regulated financial advice covering all aspects of personal financial planning including Protection, Pensions, Mortgages, Savings and Investments. You will also assist with all aspects of wealth management and investments in order to create the best strategies and plan clients' financial futures.
The work is complex, challenging, though extremely rewarding both professionally and financially. Clients can include large and small companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
You will receive excellent administrative support to ensure that as much business as possible is written.
It is essential that you are a solid team player who thrives on working within a fast paced dynamic company. Your typical working day (9am -5.30pm) will be both distance and office based (Sevenoaks). Even though you will be expected to develop and maintain your own network of clients/professional intermediaries, you will equally be supplied with a steady stream of potential business introductions from our internal relationship managers, whom you will closely work alongside with. The support staff team will equally assist with the administration of your clients.
To be a successful IFA within our company you must have:
• Current successful financial advisory experience, either as a tied financial adviser (such as Bank) or Independent
• FPC and AFPC qualified (or equivalent) + other relevant IFA qualifications
• Excellent communication, listening and telephone skills
• The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
• An interest in financial products and markets
• Good mathematical and computer skills
• The drive and motivation to meet targets
• Honesty and a trustworthy manner
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to analyse and research information
• A FSA compliant record
Applications will only be considered from fully or part diploma qualified Financial Advisers or IFA’s and ideally individuals who are looking to reach chartered status. You should have an excellent track record of providing regulated financial advice and been able to build relationships with clients to be able to provide advice to the clients over a long period of time and not just a "quick sale".
You should be very hungry and pro-active in contacting the company's database of clients and ideally possess some clients of your own to "hit the ground running" however, this is not essential as there are sufficient clients for an experienced financial adviser to contact and review.
Financial package
£24,000 basic per annum + renewals + bonus/commission
OTE £60,000 min year 1, OTE £100,00 year 2 onwards.
